Back in the States...

Hello all,

First off, I want to apologize for not blogging sooner.  Things were super busy, and then we had our project debriefing in El Quisco (south of Valparaiso on the coast) most of this week, and we had no internet access there.  On Saturday, we headed back to Santiago, where we had one last get-together with the Chilean staff, and then we headed back to the airport.  About 15-20 Chilean students showed up at the airport to say goodbye, and we got to spend about two hours with them before we boarded our plane.

We flew all night, not sleeping much (airplanes are NOT the most comfortable place to sleep), and arrived in Dallas about 7:30 or 8 am local time.  From there, we said goodbye to our team and went our separate ways.  There were five or six of us that stayed together until around noon or later, but the rest of the group left pretty quickly after arrival in Dallas.

About noon, I boarded my plane to Phoenix, arriving about 12:30pm local time (oh the benefit of time zones!) My parents came to pick me up, and we drove the hour and a half back home to Prescott.

I'm still trying to adjust to the US and to process everything that happened on our trip, so I'm not going to write a whole lot more right now.  However, I can tell you some very exciting news: during our time in Santiago, 21 people made decisions to follow Christ or rededicate their lives to him!  Needless to say, we are so excited that God chose to use us to reach these Chilean students!

I apologize for not writing more right now, but rest assured that I will update you as soon as possible!  Thanks so much for your support on our trip, and I look forward to sharing some awesome stories of things we saw and/or learned during these six weeks we spent in Chile!

PS: Happy Independence Day to all of you readers in the US! :)
